    Muesli rusks

    Ingredients 4 cups flour, cake or brown bread flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 3 cups muesli 2 cups full cream milk 2 tablespoons vinegar 200 g margarine Pinch of salt ¾ cup brown sugar *The ingredients can be doubled to bake a bigger batch of muesli rusks. Method Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Add the vinegar to the milk. Then mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Put the mixture in a rusk/ bread tin or in a greased ceramic bowl. Bake 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Take out the bread like rusks. Let it cool down for about 5 minutes.…

    This soup turned out very tasty indeed! The red curry with the creamy coconut milk and fishy periwinkle taste make for a wonderful starter.     Roasted Fennel

    Roasted fennel – who would have thought, right? Very tasty roasted on its own or with other veggies. Give it a try! Ingredients A big fennel bulb (I got one from our garden) olive oil salt pepper Method Wash the fennel bulb and cut off/ peel off all unnecessary leaves. Cut the fennel in slices, length-wise from the top down. Put on a oven tray with other veggies (I added some carrots and mushrooms). Sprinkle with some olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast on 200 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.

    Potato rösti or hash brown? I don’t know what the difference is. Prepare it as a tasty side dish with meat or as a party bite. I added a cream cheese and parsley as a topping.
